Dear Friends, 
On the morning of June 25, 2006, my son Gilad was kidnapped from Israeli sovereign soil and taken to Gaza by the Hamas terrorist organization, while in the regular army fulfilling his duty of guarding the southern border towns of the State of Israel.
He has been held there for over two years now, in total isolation, and the Hamas have obstinately prevented any visit to him, from any international party (NGOs) whatsoever.Â
We have no information at all regarding his medical condition or the conditions in which he is being held. The matter of Gilad’s kidnapping is not a personal matter that belongs solely to the Schalit family, but one that belongs to the entire free world.
